Take That singer Gary Barlow has refused to rule out the possibility of Robbie Williams making a spectacular return to the boy band.
Barlow said he was buoyed by comments Williams had made on his official website, where he revealed he would “love” to rejoin the band.
"The band has been having great fun with Robbie over the last few months and we've been talking a lot,” Barlow told the Sun newspaper.
“It's been really good getting to know him again. He has sorted himself out and is in a really good place at the moment.”
When asked if he would be open to the singer's return, Barlow said it wouldn't be feasible in 2009, but added: “We are not ruling out getting together with him beyond that."
Williams' departure from Take That in 1995 triggered the boy band's initial demise but since reforming two years ago without the singer they have enjoyed a hugely successful re-birth.
Writing on his inner sanctum website earlier this week, Williams said he had wanted to be in a band again ever since he left the group in the mid-90s.
Speaking at the Royal Variety Performance, Barlow also welcomed the news that Williams was moving back to the UK after five years living in America
"It's great news that he's decided to come back to the UK. I've always loved working here and wouldn't want to be anywhere else – and I've been telling Robbie for a while now that he needs to move back,” Barlow said.
