- More U2
U2 will released their 12th studio album, 'No Line On The Horizon' on March 2nd, it's been announced.
The album, the follow-up to 2004's 'Hot To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb', was recorded alongside Brian Eno and Danny Lanois.
The news comes less than a day after concert promoter, Live Nation, said they were “in the process of gearing up” for the Irish band's next tour.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the band began initial recording sessions for 'No Line On The Horizon' with producer Rick Rubin.
But, in an interview last month, guitarist The Edge said the sessions were scrapped because the partnership hadn't worked out.
"We actually laid all that stuff to one side. Really out of deference to Rick and that set of songs we just said, OK, that’s that, and we drew a line," he said.
U2 eventually went on to record the album with Eno and Lanois at their home studios in Dublin.
