KING OF THE MOUNTAIN – Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions before entering your band into the Gigwise King Of The Mountain competition.

1. The King of The Mountain (KOTM) is competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man aged 18 years or over at the time of attending Snowbombing should they win the right to do so.

2. The KOTM is open to any bands / acts who wish to win the right to attend and play at Snowbombing in Mayrhofen between the dates of 04 and 09 April 2011 and perform in the final of the King of the Mountain competition.

3. All bands/acts entering must be unsigned to any music company and have no existing record contract or be contracted to any form of music publisher at the time of entry and at the time of their potential participation in Snowbombing.

4. There is no restriction on the number of participants / members that form a band / act entering the KOTM competition.

5. The details of how to enter form part of the KOTM competition terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. The King of The Mountain (KOTM) competition consists of two parts: Qualification & Final

a.  KOTM Qualification

i. The entering band / act is required to upload their tracks in an MP3 format on the Gigwise website - www.gigwise.com/kingofthemountain - between 1200hrs on 3 January 2011 and 1200hrs on 31 January 2011.
ii.    Gigwise will choose, at the judges’ desecration, the top 20 uploads.
iii.    The top 20 uploads will be made available for public listening and public voting will take place between 1200hrs 2 February and 1200hrs 16 Feb 2011 on the Gigwise website - www.gigwise.com/kingofthemountain.

b.    KOTM Final

i.    The four bands / acts receiving the most votes online by 18 February at 1000hrs will be invited to participate in Snowbombing’s KOTM competition.
ii.    The winning four bands / acts, as per the public vote will need to book and organise:
1.    Travel
2.    Accommodation
3.    Any extra options such as equipment hire and lift passes.
4.    Winter Sports Insurance needs to be provided for any individual intending on skiing or snowboarding.
5.    Comprehensive travel insurance is required even if participants are not intending on skiing or snowboarding.
6.    The prize does not include:
a.    Any other food and drink other than stated.
b.    Winter sports travel insurance.
c.    Personal expenditure and incidental costs other than those stated including other costs such as evening meals.
d.    Additional events taking place during Snowbombing that carry a supplement charge i.e. the Arctic Disco and Back Country Party.

7. It is the responsibility and a condition of the prize being awarded that the attending band / act members ensure they have, at the time of travel:
a.    A valid passport.
b.    Winter sports specific travel insurance.
c.    Obtained any necessary vaccinations and visas for their trip.

8. All elements of the prize are subject to availability, non transferable, non amendable and there are no cash alternatives.

9. The four bands / acts invited to attend Snowbombing to participate in the KOTM Final may be required to participate in publicity. All photographs and any multi-media publications remain the property of Snowbombing.

10. The KOTM Final play off will take at Snowbombing Festival in Mayrhofen, Austria – Date TBC.

11.Gigwise will judge the KOTM final.

12. The winning band / act will receive a cheque for 2000€ and be given the opportunity, subject to production programming availability to support a major Snowbombing act for their final performance.

13. Entries must be submitted via www.Gigwise.com and entry is restricted to one band / act. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of despatch / uploading will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The names of the final four bands / acts can be obtained by sending a sae to Gigwise, 60 Tabernacle Street, London, EC2A 4NB between 05/03/10 and 11/03/10

14. Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter or the Organiser and accordingly the Promoter or the Organiser may, at its absolute discretion, vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter or the Organiser as a result thereof.

15. Where applicable, all relevant Snowbombing Package Terms and Conditions apply. It is a condition of the a band / acts’ attendance at Snowbombing that they agree to and abide by these Terms and Conditions. A full copy of the Snowbombing Package Terms and Conditions can be found at:

16.Gigwise is responsible for the first part of the promotion, which is the publication and adjudication of the prize draw. All other facilities connected with the provision of the prize are the responsibility of the Snowbombing organisers, SBH Events Ltd.
