Amy Winehouse 'Distraught As Holiday Romance Leaves Caribbean'

Amy Winehouse has been left distraught after her Caribbean holiday romance, actor Josh Bowman, returned to the UK over the weekend, according to reports.

The singer, who had been pictured frequently with the 21-year old on island of St Lucia, has apparently flown her father, Mitch, out to offer her support.

“She has been calling Mitch every day to tell him she is totally besotted,” a source told the Sun newspaper. "Mitch wants him to know he will have their support.”

Another source added: “Amy was very upset. She was in tears and kept telling Josh she loved him and would see him again soon.”

Although Bowman was quoted as denying he was dating Winehouse, the singer said in an interview on Sunday that she was “happy” with the actor.

Winehouse also told the News of the World newspaper that she had stopped taking drugs during her holiday.

She said she had discovered “a new zest for life” and had begun thinking about recording her third album.
