Tom Cruise And Liam Gallagher Confrontation Claims 'Pure Nonsense'

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has called claims actor Tom Cruise confronted his brother, Liam, in an German hotel “pure nonsense”.

Tabloid reports this week claimed Cruise approached Liam Gallagher at the Regent Hotel in Berlin - where they were both said to be staying - to ask him to explain comments the singer made in the recent documentary, Lord Don't Slow Me Down.

In the Oasis film, Gallagher said of the actor: “I hate Tom Cruise. I can’t stand that small bastard – him and Michael Owen.”

According to the Daily Star newspaper, the pair laughed awkwardly before shaking hands.

Responding to the story about his brother on his blog, Noel Gallagher wrote: “Did anyone see that story of Oasis allegedly meeting Tom Cruise in a hotel in Berlin?! Ludicrous.

“The mind boggles at where these stories come from. Pure nonsense.”

Gallagher also said in his message to fans that he was happy the media saga surrounding Brazilian footballer Kaka's failed transfer to Manchester City was over.

Gallagher, who said last week that he wanted to move to go ahead, said of Kaka: “Predictably he didn't fancy it.”
