US rapper T.I. has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison on weapons charges.
The rapper, real name Clifford Harris, pleaded guilty to possessing federal weapons last March.
Harris will have between thirty and sixty days to report to prison to begin his sentence, according to the Associated Press news agency.
The rapper was arrested last October in Atlanta shortly before he was due to headline the BET Awards.
The rapper, who initially pleaded not guilty, was found by police trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers.
Harris was placed under house arrest last year and asked to complete 1000 hours of community service, which involved talking to youth groups about the dangers of guns and drugs.
He told MTV recently that he would use his time in jail to "strategise my comeback”.
