Fans are continuing to gather outside the Los Angeles hospital where Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, died this afternoon (June 25).
Hundreds of people are paying their respects to the singer by laying flowers and toys. Many more are simply too shocked to express their grief.
Jackson was rushed to the UCLA Medical Centre by ambulance from his home shortly after midday suffering from a suspected heart attack.
The singer was already in a coma when he arrived at the facility. He was pronounced dead by doctors at 2.26pm.
Jackson’s body will "most likely" undergo an autopsy tomorrow (June 26), a Los Angeles coroner said.

A Jackson family spokesman broke down in front of reporters outside the hospital where the star died.
“I’ve never seen anything like it and the fans here, who are so extraordinary, they love this man, I love this man; he was my friend,” the spokesman said.
Family members, including the singer’s father, Joe, are travelling to the hospital, he added.
Jackson’s death comes less than a month before was due to make his pop comeback in London.
The King of Pop was scheduled to play 50-dates at the city’s O2 Arena.
