- More Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson's father, Joseph, has once again voiced his concern over the circumstances surrounding the star's death.
Joseph said suspects “foul play” in his son's death, despite a coroner's claim that there was no foul play or external trauma involved.
Joseph Jackson's comments follow earlier claims that he had a “lot of concerns” about the tragedy.
The singer's father did not outline what his concerns were, but told ABC7: "Michael was dead before he left the house. I'm suspecting foul play somewhere.
"He was waving to everybody and telling them he loves them and all the fans at the gate. A few minutes after Michael was out there, he was dead."
There is growing uncertainty about the cause of Jackson's death, amid reports the star was heavily dependent on prescription painkillers.
Today, The Sun newspaper claimed Jackson weighed just 8 stone 1oz when he died, and that traces of painkilling drugs were found in his stomach.
But his personal physician, Dr Conrad Murray, has denied that he administered any drugs on the day of Jackson's death.
Jackson and his father are known to have endured an unsteady relationship during the star's life.
But Joseph has acted as the figurehead for his son and the recent of the Jackson family since his death last Thursday.
He joined Jackson's sister, Janet, at the BET Awards in Los Angeles last night, which were given a last-minute overhaul to honour the star.
Joseph also released a statement over the weekend, in which he said the family was finding it difficult to come to terms with the “sudden tragedy” of Jackson’s death.
