Robert Pattinson says he hopes to contribute music to the soundtrack for the third film in the Twilight Saga.
Songs by the British actor, who stars as vampire Edward Cullen in the hit teen film, were included on the score to the original vampire film in 2008.
But the tracklisting for the soundtrack to the second movie, New Moon, which is due out in November, will not feature the star.
Instead, it includes new or specially re-recorded tracks from the likes of Muse, Thom Yorke and Editors.
However, Pattinson has revealed he is in the process of writing some songs which he hope can be considered for the third instalment of the franchise, Eclipse.
"I don’t know if it will be possible because of my schedule, but I want to do it,” he was quoted as telling Joy magazine.
“Music is the other side of me, it’s one of the things that complete me and I wouldn’t want to leave it aside for anything in the world."
The actor added: "I have the intention of evolving in that aspect. It’s something I want to develop just as much as acting. I want to have a balance between those two things."
Patterson has previously spoken of his love of music and revealed that Eminem was one of his heroes as a youngster.
Eclipse is currently in production in Vancouver. To see the full tracklist for New Moon, click here.
