DD/MM/YYYY and Silver Starling both shone on day two of M for Montreal in Canada last night (November 20).
The two bands were among a six acts who took to the stage at Cabaret/Studio Juste.
Performing to a near-capacity audience, Silver Starling impressed with their Arcade Fire inspired delicate folk-pop.
Experimental outfit DD/MM/YYYY, meanwhile, got the crowds jumping with a set that showcased a vast range of unconventional musicianship.
Two Hours Traffic also put in a confident performance, which highlighted why their 2008 album ‘Little Jabs’ was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize.
Other performances on day two came from Parlovr, Le Mateos and the promising electro outfit Le Matos.
M for Montreal closes tonight with a French showcase followed by performances from Melissa Auf Der Maur and Fucked Up.
