Boyzone singer Stephen Gately died of natural causes whilst on holiday in Majorca last October, a judge has confirmed.
The decision was made by investigating judge Carmen Abrines after studying police and pathology reports and interviewing Gately's husband Andy Cowles.
She said: "At no moment in the police investigation, or in the autopsy, were there any indications of violence."
Although the singer, 33, had smoked cannabis and drunk alcohol before he died, these were not factors in his death.
Speaking to the Sydney Herald Sun, the remaining members of Boyzone told of how they may never perform songs on which Stephen sang lead vocals again.
They said it would be “tough” to erase the distinctive style of Gately and are finding working as a four piece “bizarre”.
