Kings of Leon have announced details of a huge outdoor gig in London this summer.

The US band will play their biggest ever UK headline show in Hyde Park on June 30.

Bassist Jared Followill said it was a “great honour” for the group to be playing the prestigious space.

“It's something that a band can only dream of; to be put in the same category as the groups that have played before us is just unbelievable,” he added.

“Bring sun block and your earplugs.”

Kings of Leon are currently writing and recording their fifth album, which is expected later this year.

Tickets for the concert – priced at £47.50 – go on sale on Friday (February 19) at 9am and will be available via Gigwise Gig Tickets.
