David Cameron has said he believes Lily Allen's music is “slightly unsuitable” listening for his daughter.
In an interview with Shortlist, the Conservative leader revealed he had fallen out with six-year-old Nancy Gwen over the singer.
Cameron made the admission when asked if he owned an iPod.
“I do. My children have actually just broken it, which I'm incredibly cross about,” he said.
“I got one of those connections for the car and my daughter is obsessed by Lily Allen, who I think is slightly unsuitable, so a bit of a fight takes place.
“'I want to listen to Lily Allen.' 'No it's The Jungle Book, etc etc...' And in the tussle it broke.”
In an interview last May, Allen endorsed Cameron's rival Gordon Brown to retain his position as prime minister, saying she “can't not vote labour”.
Meanwhile, the Tory leader also revealed in the interview that the last thing he listened to was Florence & The Machine.
“I have the occasional country-and-western moments too. Eilen Jewell – very good,” he added.
He also admitted that Apple's Genius button, which recommends music via the iTunes store, had “changed his music habits”.
