Pixies frontman Frank Black has admitted that the band now consider money when booking reunion shows.
The group, who played a series of shows in the UK last year, are currently on the verge of dates across Australasia.
But speaking to The Quietus, Black said that any more shows would depend on the size of their appearance fee.
“We're interested in anything that's going to earn us a fair wage,” he said.
“It's not to say it's not about art, but we made that art fucking twenty years ago. So forget the fucking goddamn art.
“This ain't about the art anymore. I did the arty farty part. Now it's time to talk about the money”.
It was reported recently that the Pixies are due to record a new studio album later this year.
They are also set to headline the Primavera Sound festival in May.
