Whitney Houston has reacted angrily to reports that she cancelled dates on her world tour due to a drugs relapse.
The 46-year-old singer was forced to postpone three UK shows earlier this week after she was hospitalised with what her spokesperson described as an upper respiratory infection.
But her sudden illness triggered tabloid reports that Houston, who has a history of drug problems, had suffered a relapse.
However, the singer, who was now left Hospital, told People magazine that the claims were “ridiculous”.
She added that she was “feeling great” and was “ready to move on and continue my world tour”.
As Gigwise reported yesterday, Houston's postponed dates in Manchester (April 8 and 9) and Glasgow (10) have already been rescheduled.
The Glasgow gig is now set to take place on May 1, while the Manchester shows will conclude the UK leg of the tour on June 16 and 17.
Ticketholders are advised to keep hold of their tickets for the rescheduled dates or obtain a refund from point of purchase.
Houston's Nothing But Love world tour has so far received a mixed response from critics at performances in Asia and Australia.
