Post-rock legends Godspeed You! Black Emperor have reformed to curate this December's Nightmare Before Christmas.
The event on the weekend of December 3rd to the 5th at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead is part of the year long celebrations of the tenth anniversary of ATP.
ATP Founder Barry Hogan said: "Godspeed performed at the Bowlie Weekender as well as at some of our early ATP festivals, and so we are very proud to have one of our favourite bands back after a long break to conclude our 10th anniversary along with Bowlie 2."
The enigmatic Canadian collective will hand pick 40 acts to appear alongside them on the bill.
The first names joining them are Bardo Pond, The Ex, Deerhoof, Tim Hecker, Mike Watt and Scout Niblett.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor said in a statement:
“after a decade's retreat, god's pee has decided to roll again.
we are, as always, stoked, stubborn and petrified.
between now and the live-dates, there'll be rivers of noise and distraction. and the internet is a petty tyrannical monster. please remember that really all that matters is the keep on keeping on. and all that really matters is the shows. and physical engagement in the world. and folks like us and folks like you. thanks for understanding, and thank you for still listening.
see you next winter.
xoxoxox godspeed you! black emperor”
Tickets for the weekend cost £165 and £175 and are on sale now.
