Snoop Dogg says he's planning to hit the recording studio with Susan Boyle.

The controversial rapper – real name Calvin Broadus – hailed SuBo as a “great artist” and revealed they are going to get their “minds together” to work out exactly what they're going to duet on.

He said: "(Susan Boyle is) a great artist. I'm looking forward to going into the studio with her. Why not?

"We're going to get our minds together and figure out what we're going to sing about. I'm down with that. There isn't much I can't do."

Snoop also told The Sun that he'd like to replace Simon Cowell on the next season of American Idol.

"I think I would be perfect,” Snoop said. “I understand the dynamics of music and see stars before they are made."
