She speaks about project...
Scarlett Johansson says it would be “interesting and intriguing” to play Courtney Love in a film about her late husband, Kurt Cobain.
The actress is one of a number of stars believed to have been targeted by Love, who is a co-executive producer on the project.
Johansson told MTV she was a “big fan” of the Hole singer, but wouldn’t be drawn on whether she had been approached for the role.
"I know that there is a script. That's as much as I know about it," she said.
"I'm a big fan of Courtney's and I think she's very, very talented. But I don't know anything about the project.
Johansson added: "It would be a challenge, definitely would be a challenge. I think the idea is interesting and intriguing, but I would have to really wrap my head around it."
Last month, Love revealed that actors James McAvoy and Ryan Gosling were in the running to play Cobain.
The film is be based on Charles Cross’ 2001 biography, Heavier Than Heaven.
