Lady Gaga Praises Justin Bieber Lookalike Over 'Paparazzi' Song Cover

Lady Gaga has praised a 12-year-old boy whose cover of her hit ‘Paparazzi’ has become an internet sensation.

A video of Greyson Michael Chance singing the song at his school in Oklahoma has received more than ten million views on YouTube since April.

He said he had covered the track because he wanted his music to be like the singer’s when he grew up.

Chance was invited to perform the cover on US chat show The Ellen Degeneres Show on Thursday (May 13).

But rather than just perform, the 12-year-old also received a surprise phonecall from Lady Gaga, who thanked him for covering her song.

"You're so sweet and so talented,” she said. “I was so excited that you covered Paparazzi.

"Everyone loves you so much, keep following your dreams, work really hard... and stay away from girls."

Chance said he had been having piano lessons for three years, but has never seen a voice coach.
