The Script have scored their second number one on the UK album chart.

The Irish band’s new album ‘Science & Faith’ held off competition from Linkin Park to top the countdown.

The US group’s latest effort ‘A Thousand Sins’ was a new entry at number two, according to the Official Charts Company.

Led Zeppelin star Robert Plant’s latest solo album ‘Band Of Joy’ debuted at number three, while Phil Collins’ ‘Going Back’ was at number four.

Interpol’s self-titled fourth album charted at number ten. The group previewed the record at a London gig last week.

Meanwhile, on the singles chart, Alexandra Burke held onto the top spot for a second week with ‘Start Without You’.

Usher’s ‘DJ Got Us Falling In Love’ featuring Pitbull and Shontelle’s ‘Impossible’ were the only other new entries inside the top-10 at number seven and ten respectively.
