Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles has said he is "not embarrassed but very bemused" by the reaction to his on-air tirade against the BBC.
The DJ launched a half-hour attack against the corporation on his breakfast show yesterday (September 22), during which he claimed he had not been paid since July.
He said the BBC had shown a “huge lack of respect” and called the individual responsible for not paying him a “moronic div”.
Responding to his comments today (September 23), Moyles admitted he could be ”a tad moody” in the mornings, but said he was “upset” that an administration error had meant he had not been paid.
He also revealed that he had met with station controller Andy Parfitt after his comments yesterday and that the issue was being resolved.
Moyles joked: "Hello to all the new listeners who are tuned in, all the journalists who have tuned in to hear me losing me mind.”
The outspoken DJ recently signed a new one-year contract to continue presenting the breakfast show.
Moryles took over the high-profile morning slot in 2004 from Sara Cox.
