A letter written by late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain attacking MTV is set to go up for auction.

The handwritten note is undated, but it is thought to have been written in 1993 – the same year Cobain gave an interview attacking the corporation.

It reads: "Dear Empty TV, the entity of all Corporate GODS. We will survive without you easily - the oldschool is going DOWN FAST. My lifes (sic) Dedication is Now to Do Nothing But SLAG something.”

The letter is signed: “Kurdt Kobaineee professional Rock musician."

The letter is part of an extensive collection of rock memorabilia set to go under the hammer inan online auction by Julien's Auctions.

Cobain, who along with Nirvana popularised grunge music in the early nineties, committed suicide in 1994.
