Take That Fans Blast 'Ridiculous' Ticket Booking Problems

Take That fans have expressed their disappointment after several ticket websites struggled to meet demand for the band’s reunion tour.

A number of leading agencies - including Ticketmaster - experienced server problems when tickets first went on sale this morning (October 29).

One fan, AKD, told Gigwise the booking systems were “ruddy ridiculous”.

A spokesperson for Take That said there had been “unprecedented demand” for tickets to the group’s reunion shows with Robbie Williams next year.

The band have already added an additional six dates, taking the jaunt up to twenty. More gigs are expected to be announced.

But fans have still vented their anger at the online booking problems.

Jan said: “Totally agree sat with 4 computers and phones and still can't even access sites or phone line.”

Other users told Gigwise that the official ticket agencies should do more to cope with the demand.

Ticketmaster acknowledged there had been problems and demand for tickets to see Take That had been bigger than Michael Jackson’s ill-fated comeback tour last year.

How did you find the process? Have you got tickets? Post your thoughts by filling out the comment form below.

Tickets go on sale at 9am. For more details and to buy Take That tickets, check out Gigwise Gig Tickets.

  • Absolutely ridiculous in this day and age and with so called leading computer systems that you can't even log onto the ticket websites. Phone lines, may as well not bother. Absolute farce.

  • I got mine but not through seetickets, ticketmaster or ticketline! They were a joke! Got mine through stargreen and only cos I saw them tweet on twitter that 6th July had been just added!!!. The phones were constantly engaged and if hadn't been on twitter I'd have never got tickets today!!!

  • Ticketmaster is an absolute joke, everyone knew there would be unprecedented demand for these tickets. Whoever they have running their I.T. infrastructure should be replaced. This happens everytime, Jackson, ACDC, now Take That. As for the other outlets, well they know for next time right?

  • I have been trying for 8 hours on Ticketmaster to get tickets and still without success. This is disgraceful given these ticketing websites must have known the demand would be huge. They should be ashamed with themselves.
