Lady Gaga and Kanye West were among the musicians whose Twitter posts were the most retweeted in 2010, it’s been announced.
Justin Bieber, Drake and Li’ Wayne also proved popular on the micro-blogging website.
Comedian Stephen Colbert took the top spot with the tweet: "In honor of oil-soaked birds, 'tweets' are now 'gurgles’," which was in reference to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Drake came second with the thought provoking message: "We always ignore the ones who adore us, and adore the ones who ignore us.”
Lil’ Wayne was third with his first post-prison tweet, while Kanye West’s apology to Taylor Swift in October placed him eigth.
Lady Gaga’s tweet - "I'm beautiful in my way, 'cause God makes no mistakes. I'm on the right track, baby. I was Born This Way” - also made the list.
Rihanna’s tweet about Justin Bieber also found itself inside the top-10.
