Daft Punk 'To Play European Festival As The Third Twin'

Daft Punk will play a European festival this summer under the pseudonym The Third Twin, according to reports.

The act, which is said to be “directly related” to Daft Pink, is scheduled to play Arenal Sound, which runs from August 4-7 in Valencia, Spain.

Spanish newspaper El Periódico Mediterráneo said the French house duo began using the name to leak a number of tracks last year due to legal reasons.

A press release issued to Consequence Of Sound said the songs were tracks rejected from Daft Punk’s score to the Disney movie, Tron: Legacy.

Gigwise was unable to reach representatives for comment when this story went to press.
