Elton John Swears On Live Radio, BBC Issues Apology

Sir Elton John has been forced to apologise after he swore live on BBC Radio 2 this morning (January 28).

The singer said “f*cking hell” when he was told by host Chris Evans that Jools Holland was unable to start the day without playing his piano.

In his apology he said he was “really, really sorry that I said that naughty word”.

A BBC Spokesperson told Gigwise: "Both Sir Elton and Chris apologised many times on this morning's live Chris Evans Breakfast Show for the language used by Sir Elton. The BBC apologises if any offence was caused."

Meanwhile, Sir Elton also revealed that plans are in place to turn his life story into a film.

The veteran singer said scriptwriter Lee Hall, who wrote the screenplay for Billy Elliot, had written a script.

He said the film would celebrate the more elaborate side of his life.

“It will be more of a fantasy, Moulin Rouge type of stuff,” he told breakfast DJ Chris Evans. “My life’s been so surreal from buying a football club to god knows what.”

Sir Elton, whose new film Gnomeo and Juliet is released next month, added that he hoped work would begin on the project in the next two years.
