When the Ambient Picnic launched in Guildford in July 1997 its ethos was simple – to promote contemporary artists within it’s region whilst showcasing an effective, environmentally friendly style of living.

Run as a non-profit family friendly festival, power is supplied by alternative power sources, including, solar, wind and alternative brown fuels.

Festival visitors are not only treated to an impressive array of stages including a Live music stage, Dance stage and Acoustic stage, which provide the best in new music, but there is also a children’s circus and specialist food suppliers located on site.

Although in 2007 the Ambient Picnic moved to Epsom – the ethos of the event remains unchanged.
