The video for Lady Gaga's new single 'Judas' has come under fire from religious groups, despite not being released yet.
The video, due to be released later this month, sees the US singer dress as Mary Magdalene, an significant figure in the New Testament.
The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights has criticised Lady Gaga and branded the video is a publicity stunt, reports The Sun.
President of the group Bill Donahue said: "People have real talent, and then there is Lady Gaga. I find Gaga to be increasingly irrelevant.
"Is this the only way to jet up her performance? This isn't random, we are getting closer to Holy Week and Easter."
'Judas' is released on April 19 and is the second single from Lady Gaga's new album 'Born This Way'.
