Adele's '21' is set to reach the two million sales mark toady (April 19).

The singer, who has had phenomenal success with her second album, will have broke through the two million sales barrier in just 87 days.

Adele will now join such musicians such as Lady Gaga, Kings Of Leon, Take That and Fleetwood Mac with the historical sales title.

''The public are clearly passionate about Adele and passionate about her music. They kept her at number one in the Official Albums Chart for almost three months and they’re still buying her records.  It may only be Spring, but Adele is already guaranteed to be one of the artists of 2011,” said Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters have ended Adele’s reign on top of the UK album chart.

The Baddest Women In Music Today

  • Jessie J - Hailing from Essex and still only 22, Jessie J has already written songs for the likes of Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, but now she’s stepping out on her own. Watch out 2011.

  • Hayley Williams - Whether it be performing with Paramore or hooking up with B.o.B, there’s not a stage Williams doesn’t own when she’s on it.

  • M.I.A - A series of ill-advised interviews aside, M.I.A is still one of the leading women in music, with an eye-catching stage show adding to her music’s mystique.

  • Lady Gaga - The singer continues to dominate the music world, whether it’s because people are talking about her music or her headlines. An unstoppable force.

  • Alice Glass - Don’t get too close to the Crystal Castles frontwoman or you might end up with a black eye. An infectious spectacle.

  • Katy Perry - Pretty much every teenage boys fantasy, Katy Perry fuses bubblegum pop with…well bubblegum outfits and just about anything else that’s candy based.

  • Janelle Monae - Revered in the US, Monae is right on the money when it comes to rounding up the baddest women in music. Not only has she got the style, but the tunes are massive too.

  • Alison Mosshart - Whether she’s performing with The Kills or The Dead Weather, Mosshart hammers home memories of a time when rock’n’roll was all about the music.

  • Nicki Minaj - Part of Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money stable, it’s no surprise to find Nicki Minaj on the cusp of hip-hop greatness, and her recent collaborations with Kanye West and Drake are testament to how highly she’s regarded.

  • Katy B - The singer first arrived on most people’s radar due to her collaboration with dubstep supergroup Magnetic Man, but be warned: Katy B’s own material is more than deserving of peoples’ attention. Another one to watch in 2011.
