The Foo Fighters have achieved their first US number one with 'Wasting Light'.
The band's new album 'Wasting Light' has debuted at number one on the Billboard chart with sales of over 235,000 in its first week of release.
Foo Fighters have previously had five albums in the US top-ten, with 2007's 'Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace', reaching number three.
Elsewhere, in the US chart, Britney Spears' 'Femme Fatale' falls to number six and Chris Brown's 'F.A.M.E' is at number nine.
Meanwhile, Foo Fighters have ended Adele’s reign on top of the UK album chart.
