Mariah Carey has thanked her fans for their messages of congratulations after she gave birth to twins.
The children, whose named have yet to be revealed but will be revealed on Twitter, were born on May 1.
In a message on Twitter, Carey said: “I wish I could personally thank all those around the world who continue 2 send congrats and prayers.”
The singer, who is married to Nick Cannon, went on to describe the twins as “the most incredible gifts we could ever have imagined”.
Carey and Cannon married in April 2008. They had been keeping fans up to date with Carey's pregnancy on each other's Twitter pages.
