Lady Gaga has explained the meaning behind the artwork for her new album 'Born This Way'.
The cover for the album, which was released today (May 23), depicts the star's half-female, half-motorcycle.
It was greeted by a mixed reception when it was unveiled earlier this year.
In an interview with the Daily Record, Lady Gaga said: "The cover with me half-female, half-motorcycle is meant to be or symbolic of the fact that I'm endlessly always changing in so transformative, many ways."
'Born This Way' is the singer's second full-length album and is expected to top the UK album chart this weekend.
