Two of the writers of X-Men: First Class have said that they have already started thinking about ideas for the movie's sequel.
Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz wrote the origin tale alongside Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn, and have hinted at what fans can expect from the follow-up.
Speaking at last weekend's MCM Expo in London, they revealed: "We would like to introduce Cable. He's such a cool character and we haven't seen him in any of the films yet."
Avatar star Stephen Lang has already expressed an interest in playing the character, a move that was backed by Cable's co-creator Rob Liefeld, who wrote on Twitter: "Dear 20th Century Fox, please sign [Stephen] Lang as Cable and put him in your next X-Men film. Lang's performance as Quaritch in Avatar was brilliant. Just attach a cyborg arm to him and presto! He's Cable. Perfect age too."
X-Men: First Class is released today (June 1).
