Beirut have announced details of their first new album in four years.
The group will release 'The Rip Tide' on August 29 in the UK and the following day (30) in the US.
The album will include ‘East Harlem’ and ‘Goshen’, which both appear on the band’s new limited edition single.
‘The Rip Tide’ will be released internationally and independently on Pompeii Records, a label started and wholly owned by Beirut.
Veirut's last full-length album ‘The Flying Club Cup’ was released in 2007.
Meanwhile, Beirut will support Arcade Fire at their huge outdoor gig in Hyde Park later this month. They are also scheduled to perform several European festival dates this summer.
