Radiohead admitted they were nervous as they played a surprise set at this year’s Glastonbury Festival tonight (June 24).
The band played their first full gig since 2009 on the Park Stage.
Frotnman Thom Yorke joked that they were the “budget U2 of the evening” as they played a set including songs from recent album ‘The King Of Limbs’.
It was the first time the band had performed songs from the album, and Gigwise correspondent Holly Frith said they were positively received by a packed crowd.
During another break in their set, he said: “We’re here to get in for free. We like it as much as you do.”
Radiohead also played the new song ‘The Daily Mail’, which Yorke debuted at a solo gig in Cambridge in 2010.
Gigwise is on site and will be coming live from Glastonbury all weekend. Keep checking gigwise.com for all the latest news, reviews, interviews and photos from this year's festival.
