Michael Bay has admitted that he hasn't given up hope of making Bad Boys 3.
Bay has just made Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which is expected to be his final involvement in the robotic franchise.
He also said that Bad Boys stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are also keen on reprising their roles as Miami detectives Lowrey and Burnett, with troubles alligning everybody's schedules proving to be the only stumbling block.
He told MTV Movies blog: "We talk about [Bad Boys 3]. It's hard to get our schedules together but it's great working with those guys."
When asked what his first post-Transformers project would be, Bay replied: "I'm going to do [Pain & Gain] next," referring to a low budget film about the Florida underworld.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon is out on general release.
