Arrested Development Movie On The Way, Insists Star

Jeffrey Tambor has suggested that a movie version of Arrested Development is in the works.

The Hellboy star also said that the entire cast of the cult Fox sitcom will be returning for the feature length production.

Despite being a hit with critics, network Fox's discomfort with the Arrested Development format meant that the show never had a chance to grow a true fanbase, lasting a mere two and a half seasons, before finding a second life on DVD.

Tambor told the Huffington Post: "No, it's all going straight, everyone's on board, I know they're writing, and maybe next time this year we'll be having this conversation."

Joking that it was his contract negotiations holding up the project, Tambor said: "Certainly, the negotiation over my trailer is what I think is stopping people."

Arrested Development starred, amongst others, Patrick Bateman and Michael Cera.

Production on the movie could begin within the year.
