Beyonce's Father: I Didn't Steal My Daughter's Money

Beyonce's father Mathew Knowles, who used to manage the singer, has apparently denied that he stole money from his daughter.

Knowles and Beyonce, who had been managed by her father since she joined Destiny's Child in 1997, parted company earlier this year, claiming their split was amicable.

But in documents obtained by the celebrity website TMZ, Knowles apparently suggests that concert promoter Live Nation told Beyonce that he had stolen money from her in a bid to work with the singer.

He says that the singer then conducted an audit and that her law firm concluded he had taken money from his daughter. He was then fired.

TMZ reports that Knowles has denies the accusations of theft and wants to take legal action to clear his name.

A spokesperson for Beyonce was unavailable for comment.
