MTV VMA 2011: Nominations List In Full

The nominations have been announced for this year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) – and you can see them in full on Gigwise now.

Katy Perry leads a charge of female artists with nine nominations, including one for 'Video Of The Year'.

She is joined in the category by Adele, Bruno Mars, Beastie Boys and Tyler, The Creator.

Best Female Video will be contested between Perry, Adele, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga, while Cee Lo Green, Eminem, Bruno Mars, Kanye West and Justin Bieber are shortlisted for Best Male Video.

The Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Foster The People, Mumford & Sons and Cage The Elephant are all nominated for Best Rock Video.

The annual awards ceremony will take place on August 28.
