Kings Of Leon Have 'Big Problems' As They Axe Houston Gig

Kings Of Leon bassist Jared Followill has suggested that the band have “problems” after they postponed a gig in Houston tonight (July 30).

The group were due to perform at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion as part of their US tour.

But the venue said frontman Caleb Followill was suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration, which had caused “his vocal chords to seize”.

On Friday (July 29), Caleb walked off stage midway through Kings Of Leon’s show in Dallas claiming he had voice troubles.

But there was speculation from fans at the gig that the frontman appeared drunk.

On Twitter today, Jared said: “I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”

He and his brother and bandmate Nathan had already issued additional apologies for last night’s cancellation.

Both hinted that the frontman’s departure from the stage was not voice-related.

“So sorry Dallas, your heat got the best of a few of us. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience of all this bullshit. We'll be back soon,” Nathan wrote yesterday on Twitter.

Kings Of Leon are next scheduled to perform on August 2.

Tonight’s gig in Houston has been rescheduled for September 22. Tickets for the original date will remain valid for the new one.
