Pete Doherty has spoken out about the recent death of singer Amy Winehouse.
The former Libertines member, who had known the singer for many years, said her death has left him 'bewildered'.
Doherty told The People: ''I'm struggling with f*cking everything because I'm so bewildered about what happened to Amy. I was in bed when I heard the news of her death. Someone had to wake me up to tell me. I couldn't take it in and still can't. Coming to terms with what has happened is almost impossible. It's hard to think she's not with us anymore.''
Meanwhile, plans are moving forward for Winehouse’s father Mitch’s proposed Amy Winehouse Foundation.
The singer was found dead at her home in Camden on July 23. She was 27.
