Nintendo have denied rumours that they are intending to open up a specialist store in London.
Nintendo Scene had reported that Nintendo Japan director Toshiaki Suzuki was to meet with UK sales boss Karen Ionescu about the store, which was to open along Oxford Street within the next two weeks.
Work was supposed to have started on it earlier this week.
However, a Nintendo rep sent an email to VG247 which read: "This is purely rumour and speculation."
Nintendo already has a store operating in New York City, known as Nintendo World.
It is from there the publisher holds all key US headline launches, as it did with the 3DS earlier this year.
