Sony have said that they are making 1.5 million new CDs in the UK and Austria after a fire destroyed its stock warehouse in North London earlier this week.
The company's distribution centre was targeted for destruction by rioters who rampaged through the streets of Enfield on Monday night (August 8).
Owned by Sony, the building was also the headquarters of the UK's largest independent music distributor, Pias.
Firm Beggars believes that it lost around 750,000 CDs in the fire, but says the losses are covered by extra stock around the world.
A spokesman has said that it could take up to three months to replenish its depleted vinyl stock - meaning that Arctic Monkeys' new single, Hellcat Spangled Shalalala, may not be released on its scheduled August 15 date.
Parts of the building remain on fire, preventing full assessment of the damage being undertaken.
In connection with the arson attack, police have said that two17-year-olds and an 18-year-old have been arrested, accused of violent disorder and arson.
Two remain in custody, with a 17-year-old having been bailed.
