Game to be released 'before Christmas'...

August 15, 2011 by Alex Winehouse

Sports Interactive have released the first details about the upcoming Football Manager 2012.

The most in depth sports simulation ever released is bound to take up even more hours of football fan's lives, with a number of new details and upgrades announced.

Contract negotiations have been tweaked, with loyalty bonuses now forming part of trying to sign the player needed to take your team to the next level, as well as being able to lock variables in negotiations where you aren't prepared to budge.

Amateur and youth contracts have also been significantly improved.

Scout reports are now more in-depth, meaning that everything that is possibly needed to get one over on the opposition is now available to every manager.

The 3D engine has also been improved, with more player animations, better weather conditions and more stadiums adding to the overall realism of the game.

Football Manager 2012 also enables players to add or take away playable nations from their saved game whenever they like.

Teamtalks have also been improved, with six different 'tones' available to get your message across to your team of overpaid, underperforming stars, meaning you can be as calm or volatile as you like.

These are just the first raft of improvements announced and, as is traditional with FM games, more will be announced as the game gets closer to release.

Sports Interactive hope to release Football Manager 2012 in time for Christmas.
