Due to Gene Simmons comments...
The estate of Michael Jackson has voiced concerns after KISS were booking to play at a tribute concert in honour of the late singer, it's been reported.
On Monday (August 15), the band were one of a number confirmed for the event at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff later this year.
But fans criticised the booking because of comments made by band member Gene Simmons in 2010 about Jackson's troubled private life.
Now, US celebrity website TMZ reports that Jackson's estate has written to Global Live Events, the promoters of the concert, with fears that KISS's appearance may tarnish the late star's reputation.
In the letter, Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Estate, wrote: "It was extraordinarily embarrassing when no sooner than you announced this 'news' that he would participate in your concert that TMZ posted an item noting that Mr. Simmons called Michael Jackson - the man you are purportedly honoring - a child molester.”
It is the latest embarrassing problem for Michael Forever.
When the concert was announced Jermaine and Randy Jackson called the event “inappropriate”, despite earning the support of other members of the singer's family.
