Kings Of Leon's Jared Followill has revealed that the band recently discovered that they're Welsh.
The bassist told told The Sun his Welsh ancestors were on his dad's side: "Followill was originally Followell and we came to Virginia from Wales in the 1700s. I'm Welsh. Cool."
Revealing the news to fans over Twitter, Jared said: Jeeze. Tell you I'm Welsh & everyone calls me a sheep shagger. Guess that explains why I count sheep at night and wake up with a b****."
Earlier this summer, the group axed their US tour so Caleb Followill could recover from a voice problem and exhaustion.
But there were reports that the singer’s problems were more complex after he walked off stage at a gig in Texas with fans claiming he appeared to drunk to perform.
Kings Of Leon are due to return to the road in Canada at the end of September.
