Mick Jagger Admits To 'Tension' Within The Rolling Stones

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has admitted that there is “tension” within The Rolling Stones.

In an interview with BBC News, the singer expressed doubt over a possible tour to coincide with their 50th anniversary next year.

The Rolling Stones haven’t played live since 2007 and relations between members are thought to have soured, particularly between Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards.

When asked about possible tensions within the group, Jagger replied: “I think there’s always tensions with people, that’s the way life is really.

“When you go one for a very long time you know you’re bound to get a lot of tension, which I don’t think is a particularly good thing. People say that tension is a wonderful thing, it’s not really. It’s better not to have tension, it’s better to have harmony.”

Asked if there was harmony now, he responded: “There’s some harmony and some tension.” The singer then refused to divulge more.

Jagger had earlier said that he didn’t know whether the band would tour. “Perhaps. We’ll see. They haven’t performed for a while,” he added.
