Lady Gaga has called for bullying to be made illegal after a 14-year-old teenager took his own life because he was being bulled.
Jamey Rodemeyer had been victimised on social-networking sites after he spoke candidly about his battle with his sexuality.
In May, he posted a video on YouTube saying that he was getting better, but Rodemeyer was still bullied, including on his Formspring account, which allows anonymous posts.
According to ABC News, one post said: "JAMIE IS STUPID, GAY, FAT ANND [sic] UGLY. HE MUST DIE!"
Another user wrote: "I wouldn't care if you died. No one would. So just do it :) It would make everyone WAY more happier!"

Lady Gaga has taken to Twitter to express her anger at Rodemeyer's tragic death and called for legislation to protect youngsters from bullies.
She wrote: “The past days I've spent reflecting, crying, and yelling. I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someones life.
Lady Gaga posts a message on Twitter about Rodemeyer's death.
“Jamey Rodemeyer, 14 yrs old, took his life because of bullying. tinyurl.com/6e7n49s. Bullying must become be illegal. It is a hate crime.”
She added that plans were in place for her to meet US President Barack Obama to discuss the issue.
“I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey,” she added.
