NBC has given the go-ahead for a pilot episode of a family sitcom from the mind of Snoop Dogg to be made.
The rapper-turned-actor will play the father on the show, with the network giving him script commitment, Deadline reports.
The episode will be written by Don Reo, who has previoulsly worked on M*A*S*H, Everybody Hates Chris and Two and a Half Men.
Reo previously worked with Snoop Dogg on short-lived Fox sitcom Brothers.
Snoop Dogg's previous acting credits include 2001 fim Training Day, and 2004's Starsky & Hutch.

In what is a completely clichéd script, the emotionally stunted rapper suffers alongside the film’s predictability and use of stereotypes. Not a great acting performance. Still, probably beats having furniture lobbed at you at Reading.
