Rockstar Games have said that iOS versions of Grand Theft Auto's Vice City and San Andreas games are a distinct possibility.

The company are currently working on an iOS and Android version of Grand Theft Auto III, which is to be released to mark the landmark title's tenth anniversary.

Rockstar told Digital Trends that porting PlayStation 2 games to Apple platforms represents a "technical challenge", but insist it is "very possible."

Vice City was released in 2002 on the PS2, later coming to PC, XBox and Mac, with San Andreas hitting Sony's console in 2004, before later also going multi-platform.

Rockstar recently unveiled the new website for Grand Theft Auto V, with the first trailer being unveiled on November 2.
